George Nakashima Inspired Conoid Bench / Mid-Century Modern / Live Edge Walnut / Oak / Japanese Design

$5,500.00
This George Nakashima inspired Conoid Bench was such a pleasure to build and I am looking forward to building more of them. This one is currently ready to ship!

If you would like a particular sized bench please reach out and we can build one just for you. The bench is 7' long, 27"-18" in depth, has a seat height of 14", and a total height of 32".

This is a real Mid-Century Modern designed piece of furniture made from Black Walnut with the spindles created from quarter-sawn Oak. I think the contrast turned out great on this piece.

George Nakashima was a artist, architect, woodworker, and maker that really brought furniture like this to market back in the 60's. The structural integrity is solid and it has a natural hand rubbed oil finish on it that is easily maintained and repairable if needed. I love the seat height of the bench, it's extremely comfortable and really just perfect. I hate to see it go but hope it will end up as an heirloom piece of furniture for someone.
